Diary of an aid mission to Ukraine - Part 1

Finding a unifying purpose: Leading a team of friends and all volunteers into a war zone! When you embark on an aid mission which has the potential to go very wrong what runs through your head as a leader?

Tim has just returned from Ukraine where he and a group of friends have delivered 6000 ration packs, 180 sleeping bags and 70 trauma kits to Ukrainian volunteers in Kyiv.

They then went 4 hours East towards the front line in order to deliver vital trauma first aid training to volunteer soldiers.

Throughout the trip Tim has made a series of short videos explaining what is going though his head as a leader at any given moment. You will see that this is very much an exercise in practicing what you preach!

In this the first video Tim talks about the importance of a unifying purpose and how it creates motivation and empowers the team.
