Don't man up ...


Don't tell people to man up! Invite them to be courageous...

Processes won't work with people. If you want to make a difference you have to make a conscious decision to focus on intelligence not information and choose to accept the risks you are presented.

Telling someone to man up is nearly as effective as telling them to calm down! Both statements merely pour fuel on the fire and potentially isolate your team.

When you collaborate, orientate the risks to your skills and intelligence then invite people to be courageous you will be surprised how often they rise to the challenge.
